Great weekend of fishing! Fishing in the Western Basin is really starting to take off as the water clears, warms, and weather becomes more stable. Common trolling areas have been East of the Bass Islands and from F-can to D-can trolling cranks 14′ to 18′ down at 1.3 to 1.6 knts. For some reason the fish wanted a little slower presentation this week. I am assuming it’s the cold, rainy, and N/NE winds we seem to be able to shake. Look for this to quickly change as we start transitioning to spoons and/or harnesses later this month.
Till next week! Good fishing and be safe!
