10/8 – Got out to do some much needed Perch fishing. Found a good steady bite SE of Rattlesnake. Lots of sorting, which is good sign that there are some small perch left with all the walleye that are in the lake.
10/15 – Ran a trip on 10/13. Was rough water and a tough bite for us. Fished N. of Cedar Point Dump 1st half of the day but ended SW of Huron Dump. Dipsy’s at a 1 and 2 setting 53′ and 65′ back, TruTrip 40’s back 55′ to 70′.
Fall fishing is starting to get into full swing…so is the fall weather. Every day in the afternoons there seems to be the 30mph winds that appear a lot in the fall. Look for the fishing to remain steady but with bigger fish starting to appear when you are able to get on the lake. Water is in the low 60’s now and cranks will soon be taking off. Some good reports are coming in from casting on the piers at Huron and Catawba.
